Women in the World: 2012 Conference

By the goodpurpose team

The third annual Women in the World conference took place last week from March 8th-10th in New York City. Hosted by Newsweek and The Daily Beast, the event brought together inspiring leaders and activists from around the world– a diverse group that included Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, actresses Meryl Streep and Angelina Jolie, Israeli opposition leader Tzipi Livni, fashion guru Diane von Furstenberg, anchorwoman Christiane Amanpour and many more.

The Daily Beast live-streamed the event, so in addition to numerous posts recapping the conference, you can also watch the panels themselves. We’ve included one below, and encourage you to visit the site to learn more.

The clip below is from the panel The Women’s Economy, and features Amanda Steinberg, founder & CEO of Daily Worth; Susan Lyne, CEO of Gilt Groupe; Candace Browning, head of global research for Bank of America; and moderator Gayle Tzemach Lemmon.
